A client was unable to trace further back than her Scottish grandfather as he was stated to be illegitimate and no father was named on his birth certificate. route4roots was able to locate documentary evidence that confirmed the father’s name and occupation.

Further research traced him to South Yorkshire where he had married, raised a family and subsequently died. Following a visit with the client we located his grave, traced and met up with a great grandson living in York who previously knew very little about his great grandfather.
